The Life Line Lenoracle plays well with the @lifeLineTarot, but it’s a standalone product. And it has a very different aesthetic since it’s a stricter cartomancy tool rather than a scrying device.

There is Always Light is a recent addition to the There is Always Light is a recent addition to the collection of decks offered by Justine of @handmethatpencil. This deck is bit different from her other creations. While a lot of the images from Justine's other decks are focused studies of individuals, identities, and their expression, There is Always Light captures candid glimpses of intimidate moments. The intimate images allowed me to sit comfortably with my vulnerability while I explored parts of my life that often remain guarded by a heavy wall, hidden from the light.

This deck is a working deck. You're meant to learn and grow with it. The words on the cards will always be the same but as you heal, explore, understand, and see what was hidden by shadow, the meanings and messages begin to change and shift into something deeply intimate.

Justine's decks offer more than the face value of gorgeous artwork and provocative keywords. A lot of her decks use symbolism to enhance the divinational experience, and There is Always Light, is no exception. It has a multidimensional system of symbols that interlock to create depth, intention, and purpose.

There are 10 different symbol cards that identify and define the symbols you'll find in the upper left hand and lower right hand corner of each card. The symbol system divides the deck into seven categories. The Moon, Sun, and Forest symbols and an additional layer to this system. The pdf guidebook offers a poem for each image, an interpretation, and several questions that can be used for journal prompts.

It difficult to capture in words, or images really, the loving, healing, and empowering energy of this deck. I've said this before but, I really appreciate Justine's ability to let readers explore their raw, emotional, journeys with honesty and a gentle approach.

There is Always Light, is available on handmethatpencil.com. Check out Justine's bio for more information and to follow progress on her upcoming decks.

The Becoming Tarot by @pomama_illustration is a be The Becoming Tarot by @pomama_illustration is a beautifully illustrated majors only deck (though the minors are currently being illustrated).

My kids are manga readers and anime watchers, so I’m familiar with the style of art that Polly Ko illustrates in. Her work is soft, and fluid, and wonderfully done. It reminds me of Art Nouveau, and I love the borders here.

I really like the fantasy aspect of these cards, and the stories they tell. But, the thing I’m truly enjoying is watching the creation process of the minors on her social media.
The entire deck is going to be the loveliest deck. Her style is so rich and vibrant.

My favorites so far are The Moon, the Fool, the Chariot, and The Hermit. She’s living in my ideal library, with that cozy fire and sweet owl friend. I could sink into that space and rarely leave.

*Note: Polly sent the High Priestess cloth but I did not know how to remove the creases safely before I did this review. Ironing is not my best skill

“Art is the magic which makes the hours melt awa “Art is the magic which makes the hours melt away and even days dissolve.”     Leonora Carrington(1917-2011)

Leonora Carrington was a painter, sculptor, writer & set designer. Most commonly referenced as a surrealist, Leonora refused to be categorized & bristled at those who would attempt to force her commentary. Rather Leonora asks us to use our sense of play & feel her art. Teaming with creativity & imagination, as if divined from some other world, Leonora creates magical places filled with glorious creatures, animals, plants & colors that feel like they are glowing with a supernatural life force.

I spent the day with Leonora Carrington on what would have been her 104th birthday yesterday. The air crackled with the energy of a true Aries celebration that propelled me deep into her world where I encountered Leonora in the most unexpected place; the mirror of her tarot. Leonora had a relationship with tarot. She painted a suite of tarot cards in 1955, newly discovered & confirmed in 2018 by curator Tere Arcq & scholar Susan Aberth, then published in 2020 by Fulgar Press.
The Tarot of Leonora Carrington Star Edition was my 20 year anniversary gift. On the eve of Leonora’s birthday I unboxed the stunning assets & sat at my tarot table with the colorful, squarish major arcana deck & listened, felt & even smelled my way into Leonora’s world via her tarot. First I struggled with the luxury of the custom perfumed collection, that is until our growing black kitten Juniper got to it. The silver edges of the cards are like no other. I saw a mark on the mirror edging...or so I thought. It was the reflection of Juniper’s black whiskers! Then I looked at myself & saw my giant smile from dealing with my OBSESSED kitten. We lost time playing with this exquisite masterpiece. It was a sensual transformative experience because playing was the entire point. This deck is art. Art is play.
Kindly swipe for my ’Tarot for Leonora Carrington Creativity & imagination Tarot Spread’, my humble birthday gift to Leonora Carrington, their family & our beloved tarot community.

If you’re interested in the intellectual / esote If you’re interested in the intellectual / esoteric aspect of tarot, then the Animal Totems and the I Ching oracle by @ceremoniance will be right up your alley. This deck takes the concept of correspondences and really runs with it. The result is a rich tapestry of spiritual wisdom.
⠀
Although the name contains only two divination systems, there are actually four systems embedded into it. This 79 card deck combines I Ching, the Human Design System, Gene Keys and Animal Totems into one beautifully coherent oracle.
⠀
Being a student of I Ching and possessing a deep fascination for correspondences (similarities between different symbologies), this deck captured my attention immediately. The fact that I also love the artwork is just icing and sprinkles on top of the cake!
⠀
For those who aren’t familiar with some or any of these systems, there’s no need to feel intimidated. The guidebook gives you all the information you need to work with these cards. While I’ve heard of the Gene Keys before, I was completely ignorant of the Human Design system and knew next to nothing about animal totems. Even without previous knowledge, however, I can still benefit from their wisdom.
⠀
And for those who don’t want to read (the deck can be purchased as a package with the guidebook or on its own), the cards themselves will provide enough information for meaningful readings. Every card shows an animal and an I Ching hexagram. While the hexagrams don’t reveal much on their own, there are keywords that describe the hexagram as well as the animal totem.
⠀
This deck has quickly become my favourite I Ching deck. I’ve been searching for years but never found a deck that genuinely satisfies my aesthetic preference. This deck is not only gorgeous, but expands my understanding by combining its meaning with three other systems.

Do you remember back when you had to use Windows M Do you remember back when you had to use Windows Media Player to play the music you downloaded from Napster and Limewire? Remember how the media player had those visualizations that played a little tiny laser show for your PC? Well, if you do then you'll understand why the images from the Universal Oracle Cards made me miss the early 2000's.

It makes sense that the imagery felt a bit reminiscent because Christina Georgieva used a simulation program used for the visualization of fractals and fluid dynamics to develop the images for each card. The images, titles, and keywords came to Christina rather organically as she manipulated the fractals into recognizable concepts. This is the same spirit I felt while working with this deck.

There's no guidebook, so other than the few keywords on each card, the interpretation and divination for this oracle is up to you. I enjoy oracles that are less rigid in their structure and allow one to develop a better understanding of one's intuitive reading style. The Universal Oracle isn't specifically themed and the cards cover a wide range of concepts and archetypes. It makes a great deck for someone who is new to oracle decks.

I was intrigued by how some of the images are manifested as lights and fractals that from the suggestion if a concept, while others form a fully fleshed out image with traditional and not so traditional symbolism. I am a sucker for bells and whistles with cardstock so it's no surprise that the sexy, black, holographic, edges caught my attention. The glossy cardstock does make this deck slippery on smooth surfaces and a bit tricky to photograph but the pocket size is convenient and won't take up much room in a collection.

The deck is available, along with more information at christinageorgiva.com.

The Kindred Fauna Oracle by mixed media artist, La The Kindred Fauna Oracle by mixed media artist, Laura Heilman, is a dreamy, creature centered divination deck. I love the watercolor images, all soft and lovely.

I found so many of the creatures that I love in this deck. Tiny sparrows and giant orb weavers. It took me quite a long time to come to terms with the beauty of an orb weavers web. The year we had one on each side of our door, I felt like some kind of warrior every time I got my mail.

The keywords on each card make this an easy deck to get to know, and an easy deck to use anytime or anywhere. Laura did make a small booklet to give guidance for each card, but they are so easy to navigate.

My favorite cards in the deck are the Shape Shifter, Manifestation, and The Infinite Moment. The magic and spirit of the octopus always reminds me that I have power to adapt or change any situation. Whether I’m changing my perspective or the situation itself is up to me. The Manifestation card reminds me of going to our zoo here in St Louis and feeding the stingrays. I’ve had days where they all break ranks and swim to my outstretched hand and it is the most amazing thing. *Disclaimer: I want to rush them back to the ocean but I only have rivers.

The Infinite Moment card, though…
Are we staring down to a single spot, stuck and small and reliving it? Or are we staring out into the moment we realize that hope, possibility, wonder are ours if we just step into them?
My eyes see that moment both ways.
